10月27日にリリースされるアニメ映画「劇場版 Free!-the Final Stroke-」のオリジナルサウンドトラックのタイトルが「Over Blue Refrain」に決定。さらにジャケットが公開された。

「Free!」シリーズは競泳のメドレーリレーを通じて絆を結び、夢に向けて泳ぎ続ける青年たちの物語。シリーズ最終章となる「劇場版Free!-the Final Stroke-」は前後編に分かれており、前編は9月17日、後編は2022年4月22日から全国の劇場で公開となる。

映画の劇伴は、これまで「Free!」シリーズの音楽を手がけてきた作曲家の加藤達也が引き続き担当。サウンドトラックには、劇場版前編のテーマソング「We could be free」など全31曲が収録される。ジャケットには主人公・七瀬遙の成長した姿が描かれている。
